Allyson Felix

Allyson Michelle Felix was born in Los Angeles on November 18 1985. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister of Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix displayed a knack in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her ability to sprint while she was at the Los Angeles Baptist High School. Following her initial audition, she placed in the top two in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships for the 200-meter sprint in only 10 weeks. Felix completed her high school year in 2003 and was signed by Adidas an agreement as professional athlete. Following that, she was a student at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix took home her first Olympic Medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set the Junior World Record taking 200m in 22.18 second. She was the youngest world athlete to win the 200 meters in the 2005 Helsinki World Championships and defended her title in 2007, beating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix competed at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro Tokyo and consistently placed among the top three athletes in her respective events.
